Mission Statement

The goal of El Grupo Cervantes writing group is to promote the love of literature across genres and cultures. We are a bilingual (Spanish/English) collaborative of writers whose interests include poetry, narrative fiction, music, cinema and the graphic arts. 

Grupo Cervantes began in 2008 as a series of reading workshops led by Eugenia Toledo and the Colombian writer Javier Amaya. In 2009 the group was reconstituted as a broader community of readers and writers co moderated by Toledo and David Preston. The group meets twice monthly to read, write, and discuss.

Membership is by invitation only.
